Art Deco Peacock Feather Earrings by Aether's Atelier

Bespoke Jewellery, Thoughtfully Yours

Commission a one-of-a-kind piece where two ancient crafts meet — the iridescent feather inlay of Dian Cui and the luminous art of hand-shaped lampwork glass. Whether you have a clear vision or only a hint of inspiration, we'll walk the journey with you.

A Fusion You Won't Find Elsewhere

Most fine jewellery ateliers work in a single medium — gemstones, or metal, or glass. At Aether's Atelier, we weave together two distinct traditions. This combination lets us create pieces with an iridescence and texture that no single material can achieve alone.

Where Would You Like to Begin?

✦ Start from a Design

You've seen one of our existing pieces and want it tailored — a different feather colour, a new metal, an added pearl, or a change in scale.

✦ Start from Inspiration

You have a photograph, a memory, a colour palette, or an idea you can't stop thinking about. Share it with us — we'll turn it into something wearable.

How It Works

Share Your Vision

Fill in the request form below with your ideas, reference images, preferred materials, budget range, and any special meaning behind the piece. The more you share, the better we can co-create.

Receive Your Digital Preview

Within 2–3 business days, we'll send you a photo-realistic preview of your piece — generated from our existing craftsmanship library. You'll see how the feathers, metals, and proportions come together before anything is made. Your first two previews are complimentary.

Handcraft with Care

Once you approve the design, our artisans begin the meticulous work — cutting feather filaments, shaping metal bases, and placing each element by hand. Depending on complexity, this takes 2–6 weeks.

Yours to Keep

Your piece arrives in signature packaging, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and care instructions. It's an heirloom from day one.

✦ Complimentary Service

Digital Previews, Before Anything Is Made

Bespoke jewellery is a significant commission, and we believe you should feel confident in every choice. That's why we offer a complimentary digital preview service — a lifelike image of your proposed piece, crafted from our library of past works and materials.

Your first two previews are free. Additional revisions are £25 each — a modest fee that lets us dedicate real artisan time to exploring your vision without compromise.

Previews illustrate design intent. Because each piece is handmade with natural materials, the final work carries subtle variations that are part of its character.

Starting Prices

Final pricing depends on materials, complexity, and size. These are indicative starting points for bespoke commissions.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a bespoke piece cost?

Starting prices begin at £120 for earrings and climb based on materials, complexity, and size. After reviewing your request, we'll share a transparent quote with no obligation to proceed.

Do I have to pay upfront?

We require a 50% deposit once the design is approved, with the balance due before shipping. The digital preview stage is complimentary for the first two iterations.

What if I don't love the digital preview?

You're under no obligation to continue. We'll refine up to two previews at no cost. If the vision still isn't right, we part ways gracefully — no commitment, no fee.

Can I use my own gemstones or heirlooms?

Yes. If you have a stone, a piece of family jewellery, or a fragment you'd like incorporated, please include a clear photo and measurements in your request. We'll discuss feasibility together.

How long does the full process take?

From initial request to delivery: approximately 4–8 weeks, depending on complexity. Statement pieces and heirloom commissions may take longer. Rush options are available for a supplementary fee.

Do you ship bespoke pieces worldwide?

Yes. Bespoke commissions ship worldwide with full tracking and insurance included. Delivery times vary by region — typically 3–7 business days after dispatch.

Are bespoke pieces returnable?

Because each bespoke piece is made uniquely for you, we cannot accept returns or exchanges. This is why our digital preview stage is so important — you'll see and approve the design before any handwork begins.
