The Craft — Diancui Feather Inlay→
A labour of patient Diancui craftsmanship: genuine, naturally-shed parrot feathers are meticulously inlaid onto a gold-toned metal base, preserving the feathers' organic luster. Working with the delicate smaller plumes — each a tiny canvas of approx. 12 mm by 2.5 mm — the feathers shift from deep velvety navy to luminous azure as they catch the light, a monochromatic dance of living colour.
Made entirely by hand, slight variations in feather pattern and colour are the signature of a handcrafted treasure — no two pairs are ever identical.
