The Craft — Diancui Feather Inlay→
The wings are adorned with genuine, iridescent peacock feather, meticulously hand-inlaid using techniques inspired by the legendary Diancui (点翠) art that began in the Qing Dynasty court. The vibrant blues and greens dance with the light, creating a "living gem" effect, and every feather is ethically and sustainably sourced from naturally fallen peacock plumes.
It takes over 35 hours of patient, precise work to bring each butterfly to life. As only 10%–15% of feathers possess sections suitable for fine jewelry, the material itself is a testament to its preciousness — and because each brooch is made entirely by hand, no two are ever exactly alike.
