Inspired by the iris — a cherished symbol of wisdom, hope and courage — this hairpin is a wearable sculpture designed to crown a special moment with unforgettable beauty.
The petals are inlaid with two distinct natural parrot feathers: a sky-blue body and a royal-blue depth that together create a lifelike gradient, punctuated by a fiery red agate cabochon. The cool shimmering blues against the warm earthy red feel both vintage and full of life. This piece represents over 35 hours of hands-on work.

The Craft — Diancui Feather Inlay→
Combining the ancient Diancui (点翠 / Tian Tsui) craft with genuine red agate and a gold-plated brass setting, the iris petals are hand-inlaid from two shades of natural parrot feather to build a stunning, lifelike gradient — over 35 hours of uninterrupted work per piece.
Because the craft is so intricate, no two hairpins are ever identical; slight variations in feather pattern and agate inclusions are the mark of a genuinely handcrafted heirloom.
