The Ginkgo is a living fossil and a symbol of longevity; after the devastation of Hiroshima in 1945, scorched Ginkgo trees were among the first living things to sprout new leaves, becoming eternal emblems of hope. This brooch was created to honor that tenacious spirit — a meaningful gift for the resilient soul.
An asymmetrical design celebrates the beauty of imperfection: one leaf inlaid with iridescent peacock feather, the other shining in textured gold-plated metal, with a single lustrous freshwater pearl nestled at the stem.

The Craft — Diancui Feather Inlay→
One leaf is meticulously inlaid with genuine, iridescent peacock feather, showcasing the Dian Cui (Tian Tsui / 点翠) art form. Each piece requires numerous delicate, luminous peacock plumes, individually chosen for their silk-like sheen and structural integrity — and as only 10–15% of feathers possess sections suitable for fine jewelry, the material itself is a testament to its preciousness.
