Honouring the ancient lampwork traditions of Egypt and Venice, we shape this ring in durable modern glass. The gradient band demands precise temperature control to blend the clear and blue rods seamlessly, then the bubble cluster is built up drop by drop at over 1000°C for its organic, frothy texture.
A final slow annealing locks in the structure, making this watery-looking piece surprisingly strong. Every ring is individually hand-sculpted, so subtle variations are a natural hallmark of its uniqueness.
